Activities
NE Tarrant Right to Life Educational Association annually sponsors a scholarship program whereby a partial college scholarship is awarded to an unwed teenage mother who selects life for her baby rather than an abortion. Information on this scholarship is distributed to all the high schools in NE Tarrant County. We set up life awareness booths at local events such as Arbor Daze in Euless and Wild West Days in Keller. At these events we have a pro-life booth and pass out pro-life correspondence and bumper stickers. We present a Jeriamiah 1:5 plaque (displayed above) to local pro-life churches who are willing to display the plaque in a prominent place in their church. This program has been so well received that we are going to expand it to include local pro-life citizens who are willing to display the plaque in their office or in a prominent public place in their organization or business.
The Association periodically sponsors a “prayerful picket” of the Bedford Planned Parenthood Office to draw attention to the existence of this dreadful facility in the local community. Picketing encourages the elimination of state and local taxes going to Planned Parenthood.
Also, every other year we sponsor a “Meet the Candidates” forum to allow concerned citizens to meet and greet individuals running for state and local offices. The forum has been well received in the past and we intend to set up another forum next year.
RECENT UPDATE: Everyone is invited to our 14th William E Pasteur Memorial
